Vespa in Milazzo

                       click foto to view large

Every now & again I get blown away by a shot - this is a great example.

This was taken in Milazzo, 35km from Messina in Sicilia by Simone Cento on his iphone. I just love the quay side setting with it's panoramic composition & of course the inconspicuous vespa smallframe, which looks as though it's been sitting there for years...

An image like Simone's sums up why I started & continue with this website/blog, in an effort to combine classic vespa & the best photography out there, as well as pushing my own brand of vespa 35mm film photography.

Simone - grazie mille for letting me post this lovely shot ; )

Anna Ferretti from Motosalario, one of Rome's oldest Piaggio dealers, recently got in touch with me after admiring my 35mm film photography of classic vespas. Anna asked if Motosalario could use some of my shots on their company website, to which I agreed in return for a link to my website.

Motosalario srl was established in Rome in 1956 at Via Salaria 239, Parioli & have been a Piaggio dealer ever since. For more than 60 years they have been at the service of Romans and not only for 'motorizzarli' on two wheels but also three & four wheels to better experience the 'Eternal city'.

They have sold over 20,000 Vespas in Rome and there is no 'Vespista'' who does not know of Motosalario. With a reputation built on friendliness, courtesy, reliability and professionalism they offer new  & used vehicles for sale from the Piaggio Group with a parts department, as well as supplying accessories and clothing.

Erik Boettcher from New Hampshire, USA ordered these two vespamore photography prints earlier this year & kindly sent me this shot of them framed up on his wall; one of these is destined for his father as a Xmas present.

Erik is also a vespa fan & included this shot of him on board his newly acquired VBB150... looking good!
